FAQs

Answers to all your questions!

Immigrating to a new country always presents difficulties, especially when you don't speak the language. We have a roster of professionals in all areas associated with immigrating to Peru. Our founder, Christina, has personally used the services of these professionals herself and can vouch for their quality and level of expertise.

When you get in touch with us, we'll assess your needs and refer you to the professional you need to complete a particular step in the immigration process. We work with affordable professionals without sacrificing on quality, and charge a small fee for the referral.

When you first come to Peru, most foreign nationals are given a tourist visa on arrival that usually lasts up to 90 days. Before that time expires, you'll need to change your visa to a more permanent one, depending on your situation and needs. Some of the most common visa types include those for students, businesses, diplomats, artists, and more.

Pretty much anything you can think of! We can help with every aspect of the immigration and settling process, ranging from the big things, like getting legally registered, to the everyday, like where to buy groceries and how to decorate your home. If you require a service that's not listed here, simply reach out to our team and we'll take care of you.

Our founder, Christina, learned everything from moving to Peru and forming relationships with locals and professionals. She has acquired this knowledge from a combination of figuring it out on her own and hiring professionals to fill in the gaps. There's a lot to the immigration process the team can help with, like which bank accounts are the easiest to open and offer the lowest fees, what the non-gringo prices for items are, hidden hotspots in the city, and much more.

Of course! The internet is full of handy resources that can help you do the process on your own and for a lower price. But the benefit of using ImmiGringo is that you save yourself time, money, and effort in the long run. By using a concierge service, you don't have to hassle yourself with the irritating details that arise in an already stressful situation, especially when you can be using that time to enjoy your new life.

Christina has used almost all of the professionals in the network herself, and has vetted them carefully and thoroughly to ensure they work at the highest standard. She knows that entrusting documents and work to others requires trust, safety, and discretion, and has assembled a team that operates with the same attitude. Some services, like those required for interacting with the government, are hand-picked from a roster of certified individuals. The services that aren't have all been used personally by the team so that you get the best of the best.

Prices depend on the services that are required. Some are relatively fixed, such as those that link you to government-certified professionals, like lawyers and accountants, and some vary based on economic necessities. You also have the option of negotiating some prices for professionals' services, depending on their rates and availability. Whatever the prices are, you can be assured that we offer the best all-around value in terms of money and dedication.
